The current pedestrian layout on Mereland Road near the school creates an unsafe environment for children and parents during busy drop-off and pick-up times. The crossing point sits at a wide section of the road with no physical separation between pedestrians and approaching traffic. School buses and other vehicles travel close to the pavement, causing confusion and forcing children to cross in an area with reduced visibility and high traffic flow.
