Drain at the end of cote lane is blocked and in fact islaking water out (I first reported this to Thames water as a leaking water main) Water runs down the road forming large puddles outside brook cottage and will exacerbate potholes there especially if ir freezes. Also the stream of water down the hill when frozen will be a major hazard. They water a steady strong flow must be entering the drainage system higher up the hill or the drain has tapped one of the plentifu springs in the vicinity. A second spring has been flowing down the hill parallel to the brook from the opposit direction since we have lived here some 5 years and freezes making the exit from Taston impossible / exremly hazzardous in that direction at times over winter
