Hi I am a resident on Marlborough Place Banbury OX16 5DA. Over the last few years there has been an increasing problem with weeds growing on the pavements on streets very close to the town centre which makes the town look like an eye sore and a place where nobody seems to care. This creates a very bad impression for visitors and in the past weeding used to be carried out regularly by the council. Last year I was so fed up that I cleared both sides of my street and then put fliers through my neighbours doors asking if we could all take responsibility for our own part of the pavement but sadly this has not had much success. It's not only the pavements that are the problem but also the weeds growing in the road gutters which seem to be affecting the drains. I kindly ask that this situation is resolved and the regular maintenance and weeding of our streets is reinstated.
