Request for Bench Removal – Mount Street

I am writing to request the removal of the bench located on Mount Street, directly adjacent to my home. While I appreciate the provision of public seating, this particular bench has become a recurring source of anti-social behaviour and disturbance for my household.
Yesterday evening, a group of teenagers congregated there, drinking loudly, leaving the area covered in litter, and deliberately kicking my front door as they left. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. We regularly find the vicinity strewn with rubbish and endure significant noise disruption at all hours due to the bench's use. As we have young children, their sleep is frequently affected by these late-night disturbances.
In addition, the bench is showing signs of wear—some of the wooden slats are starting to bow and feel unsteady, so it is not in ideal condition for regular use. Its removal would cause minimal inconvenience to the public, as there are already six or seven other benches available at Mount Place at the end of the street.
Last night's incident was the final straw for us. I would kindly ask that the council consider removing this bench, which would greatly benefit myself and my immediate neighbours.
