Large pothole, unrepaired since 28 May, previously reported
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 11:49, Friday 31 July 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This is the same pothole previously reported on 28 May 2026 under FixMyStreet ref 9518051 (council ref ENQ261102138). That report was closed this morning, 31 July, as "investigation complete", stating that defects meeting intervention level had been assessed and repaired.
I attended this location at 09:37 today, shortly after that closure was posted. The pothole has not been repaired and has not been touched. It is the same defect, and it has deteriorated further, with the road surface continuing to break away around it. I have dated photographs and video taken at the scene today.
I am therefore re-reporting it, as the closure notice invited. To be clear, this is not a new defect. It is the same one, continuously present and unrepaired since 28 May 2026.
Another road user reported on 15 June that they had bent a wheel and punctured a tyre at this spot. The defect sits on the driven line and is a genuine hazard, particularly at night. Please could it be inspected and made safe.
