Pothole has damaged my vehicle

It was impossible to avoid going into the path of this pothole as another vehicle was leaving Upper Tadmarton as I was entering the village, forcing me to stay in the lane and unable to avoid it. I tried to emergency stop but we still hit the pothole and there was a loud bang and a bump which jolted us all in our seats.
