We had a small elderberry bush adjacent to our acoustic fence and in the past two years it has grown taller than the fence. It is stopping sunlight getting into our garden and damaging the fence.

We reported the problem to Cherwell district council when we moved into 144 Bloxham Road and offered to take the bush out when it was much smaller prior to installing the acoustic fence. At the time we weee unable to determine whose responsibility it was to have it pruned regularly. In the six years that we have been at this address the bush has never been pruned. We prune some of the branches that we can reach but now are unable to use ladders to climb up to prune the higher branches. If acceptable we would like to contribute to the removal of the unsightly bushes and replace with some wild flowers for a colourful meadow that would brighten up this part of our street. And make it a little easier for us to assist the council in managing.
