Road melted

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 13:38, Wednesday 8 July 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is an ongoing issue where the road surface, which was resurfaced last year, is already breaking up. Large pieces of tarmac are frequently becoming loose and being left on the roadway, creating a significant hazard, particularly for cyclists. With the recent hot weather and continuing, consideration should be given to applying sand or another suitable material to help stabilise the surface and reduce the risk until a permanent repair can be carried out.
