Newly planted tree care

Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 13:49, Tuesday 7 July 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I understand that Oxford County Council work in partnership with local residents. If this is the case I write to express my concern over newly planted tree care.

I live at 3 Blake Way, Lea Park. In recent times, was it last year? These trees were planted by Oxfordshire County Council. There are at least three such trees in Cromwell Ave. At the East part thereof.

This was much appreciated at the time, especially with the continued removal of trees at the green space area locally called the fish ponds in the central section Cromwell Ave.

It would be a great shame to lose these young trees: I wondered whether your Town Council will please arrange for watering of these trees in this long hot dry spell.

Yours sincerely

Ian Douglas.
