Street Lighting not working

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
Please be advised there are 4 No street lights not working in this area. Please can you advise when these can be completed? The four lamps columns are adjacent to the new round a bout near the service yard entrance to Sainsbury's
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, unfortunately the unit(s) you are referring to are not owned or maintained by Oxfordshire County Council, these are private lights that would be the responsibility of the developer/landowner whom you would need to contact direct.

Thank you for confirming these lights are not yet adopted. Please can you provide contact details for Approved Street Lighting Contractors we could employ to resolve this issue?

You would need to obtain this from whomever owns the lights as this would be their responsibility to repair.

Dear Sir Madam, I believe you may be misunderstanding my original request these lights are in the highway on the B4100, they are not in the Sainsburys Service yard. To my knowledge only a 278 approved contractor/highways approved contractor will be able to repair these fittings, if you are stating that they are not adopted, please forward me contact details so an approved highways contractor can organise a TMS to be able to safely repair these fittings which are clearly on oxfordshire councils highways. Please feel free to contact me on either 01543465200 or 07788423874

Oxfordshire County Council is aware of the issues with street lighting in this location and is working with the developer of the adjacent site to resolve them. The scheme has not yet reached final adoption and therefore the maintenance responsibility remains with the developer at this stage.

As previously advised, we are working with the developer to resolve the switching on of the street lights. These are part of the Bicester Town Centre redevelopment works and are owned by Sainsbury's until the adoption has been completed.
