New tree growth. Branches are hanging down in to the road way. Lorrie’s can be hit by them. Nearest address is 4 Cleveland’s OX14 2EG Thank you

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the location and assessed the trees. The trees are on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense and therefore, Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) do not have responsibility for the trees as local highway authority. I will arrange for any necessary works to be undertaken under powers granted to OCC in the Highways Act 1980. I expect these works to be undertaken in the next few weeks. We appreciate your vigilance and encourage you to report any future highway concerns.
