This is now urgent priority as heavy traffic inc the bus will be diverted as from today using thie Pettiwell junction and Southend. Dangerous lack of visibility with extra heavy traffic due to a ten day road closure starting today. A very serious accident happened at this junction almost three weeks ago. Please cut back grass it is an urgent issue.

Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf I have asked our grass cutting team to cut this junction ASAP.
