Pedestrian Refuge Bollards Replacement

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 14:07, Thursday 11 June 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Over many years we have been reporting this matter and still it remains outstanding, last received an update email 8th July 2025 stating "These bollards are already on our list of possible future works" State changed to: Investigation complete.

The refuge bollards have still not been installed to protect the pedestrians, elderly, children and dog walkers of Timber Way.

I notice bollards have recently been installed on the B4009 opposite the end of the southbound exit slip road off the M40 junction 6 to prevent a car parking, and bollards are now going to be installed by OCC on the Thame Road in Chinnor to prevent unsafe and inconsiderate parking, why have you not replaced those in Timber Way to protect us for the same reason, we have been waiting for 20+ years.

Thank you
