Thank you for your report, we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Currently the temporary policy is for our interim contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. However, when and if additional resources plus materials are available the contractor has started to carry out repairs to the older outstanding faults these will be grouped by areas for efficiency.

16th January. I think it is urgent that the light in this dark but important pedestrian footpath is repaired asap, following the very unpleasant events last week in a nearby road (Harcourt Hill). Anyone using this footpath is very vulnerable, but it is an important connecting path between streets.

Thank you for your update, our contractor attended but due to its location it requires specialist equipment to access. This has been added to the works that are due to be carried out shortly with the machine. Sorry for the delay in getting this repaired.

As of 19 Dec light is still not working. I first reported this on 14 Nov. Clearly it will not now be fixed until the New Year at the earliest. Is it acceptable to wait 2 months to replace a light bulb? Or is the delay a reflection of the importance given to public safety in these circumstances?

This was first reported last January - a whole year to fix lights in a very dark passage, leaving the many local pedestrians and schoolchildren who use it vulnerable all that time.
