Unsafe and inaccessible pavement crossing area on Church Street near the left-hand bend

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:58, Thursday 28 May 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Narrow pavement with uneven stone surface and no dropped kerb/ramp for disabled or pram access. When vehicles are parked along the asphalt transition area, pedestrians with prams are forced to pass over the uneven stone paving and manhole cover in order to get on and off the pavement safely. This creates an unsafe crossing point near a bend regularly used by buses and large vehicles.

  • This road (especially the bend) where Appleford rd joins Church street needs new road markings all along church street until it reaches the island. And going onto the High st as it’s quite dangerous without road marks. Drivers think it’s one way (from church street going to high Street)
