Sharp and very deep pot hole just before the cluster of potholes/non existent road
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:16, Wednesday 27 May 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Very sharp and deep pothole just before what was the large cluster of potholes just past the bend going towards Carterton that has now turned into a non existent patch of road. National speed limit and just after the bend not leaving enough time to slow down or safely manoeuvre onto the other side of the road. I have done 40, 30 and today 20 mph over this and it still has taken large chunks of my bumper out. It’s unavoidable and a very busy road when on my way home from work. This patch urgently needs fixing and a full resurface booking in!

These potholes West of Kencot, Oxfordshire B4477 are becoming extremely dangerous. They range between whats3words "smashes.weary.amaze" and "outbid.expecting.shortens". A sign stating deteriorating road surface has been there for months and nothing has been done about it. These have been reported as early as May 2026 and earlier. This is a major route between Burford main road and Carterton/Brize Norton.
If something is not done soon there will be a serious crash or even worse a fatality when trying to avoid these deep craters. PLEASE TREAT THIS SERIOUSLY.
