Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The verges either side of this junction are heavily overgrown and impede safe egress for cars. The sight line to the right towards Sires Hill is particularly bad with traffic travelling very fast. The junction is subject to heavy use from visitors to the Wittenham Clumps area. These verges need to be and should be regularly cut throughout the summer season.

Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
