Potholes missed off repairs on Friday

The contractors who came last Friday missed several of the large marked up potholes on the straight from the nature reserve carpark to the welcome to Chimney sign. Contractor needs to come back to finish the jobs on the lane that are on deperate need of repair and over 30 still needing to be done.

The 30 + potholes on the lane from the great brook bridge to chimney which were falsely claimed as repaired in early May still haven’t been repaired. The road is single track and the only access to the chimney hamlet. Many of these potholes were reported last Autumn initially with multiple updates and measurements/picture submitted which has taken hours to do! It is unacceptable that having reported the false claims of the potholes being fixed 2 months ago we still haven’t had them repaired and my report is still being ‘investigated’ . The road is in an appalling state as it’s only just a thin overlay that was laid in 2019 which is massively broken down in several places now with several unavoidable potholes that were actioned for repair months ago. Please can OCC prioritise getting this road properly repaired once and for all.

According to our information, all defects that met our intervention level at time of our previous inspection have now been assessed and repaired.
