Street & Pavement Cleaning Required after Gas Main Works

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Gas main works to Croft Avenue, Kidlington by CSD Gas Ltd. Project no. SOE 15752 on behalf of SGN, ended around 6 March. CSD used this stretch of Blenheim Road pavement as a dumping ground for rubble. This was later cleared, presumably by grab lorry. They have also left large areas of Croft Avenue and Blenheim Road pavements & road surface muddy and littered with debris, and did extensive damage to the grass at the entrance to Orchard Play area by Croft/Evans Lane and at the roundabout at Croft/Mulcaster Avenue. Presumably CDC or OCC will hold CSD to account because you've surveyed the areas before and after? Or will pick up the cost to clean and make repairs?

Please explain who is responsible for the street and pavement cleaning, and who will carry it out.

  • Thank you for your report. We have undertaken a post-works inspection and identified defects, which have been formally raised through the NRSWA defect process. The promoter is required to return and complete the necessary remedial works, including cleaning and making good any damage. Kind regards
