The pothole appears to have become deeper since it was first reported. It is now causing difficulties for buses travelling along Park Street, as drivers either have to manoeuvre around it on an already narrow road or, if they do not see it in time, drive over it at speed, causing the vehicle to jolt sharply.
Given the restricted width of the road, this presents a potential safety risk to pedestrians and could also result in damage to parked vehicles or nearby property. I would be grateful if the council could inspect the pothole and arrange repairs as soon as possible before it deteriorates further.
