Deep, sharp-edged potholes along the seam of the road between the slow and overtaking lanes. (No photograph possible as road too busy and dangerous.)

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:02, Thursday 5 March 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

These potholes have been at/around the junction of the Southern By-Pass Road (Eastbound) and Old Abingdon Road. The potholes have been there for several weeks, possibly/probably months. The potholes are quite crater-like. Driving in the slow (inside) lane, I hit one in my car at around 30 mph and the severe jolt and loud bang caused me to swerve and slow down suddenly and potentially dangerously (luckily no other cars were behind or beside me at the time), bursting my front right tyre and damaging the wheel rim.
