Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Currently the temporary policy is for our interim contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority. However, when and if additional resources plus materials are available the contractor has started to carry out repairs to the older outstanding faults these will be issued by areas to ensure costs are kept to a minimum.
Individual parts will also need to be ordered on a number of faults as these are not standard items, unfortunately this will increase the time it takes that these units are not operational. We are currently in the process of negotiating with our interim contractor to provide additional resources to look at all faults to reduce the outstanding levels, however these will not have target timescales for repairs but we anticipate that they will be fixed as soon as possible.

Thank you for the update, we have attended this unit and found there to be a supply fault which we have passed to UK Power networks to repair.
Oxfordshire County Council’s contractor is not permitted in any way to interfere with or try to repair electricity supply faults, as they would be in breach of the statutory safety regulations if they tried to do so.
Electricity companies generally prioritise supply restoration work in the following order: 1. High voltage faults affecting large areas of housing or commercial premises etc. 2. Low voltage faults to groups of, or individual, housing or commercial premises etc. 3. Traffic signals/Zebra crossing/Pelican crossing. 4. Large groups of street lights (commonly caused by cable failures). 5. Small groups of street lights. 6. An individual street light.
Once the electricity supply company advises Oxfordshire County Council the fault is rectified we will confirm this within our regular inspection programme to ensure that the light as a whole is in working order.

As above, this has been passed to Western Power to resolve as they are the owners of the cables.

This unit had a supply fault which we were notified by Western Power on the 22 May 2017 this had been repaired but the unit was now not working. Our contractor re-attended on the 14 June 2017 and fitted 2 x new components and left the unit in working order. We have re-issued this fault and requested our contractor attend as priority.

We believe this issue was addressed but due to a technical error it hasn’t been updated on FixMyStreet. We now consider it fixed, but if the issue still exists please let us know by creating a new report on FixMyStreet: https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk a>.
