Damage to verges on both sides of the road through Taston between Thorsbrook and Hall's Cottage.

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:38, Thursday 26 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There has been considerable damage caused to the verges in the middle of Taston mostly caused by a recent building project - contractors vans parked on the lane and on the verges not allowing sufficient room to pass, especially the large lorries delivering building materials. I reported this problem over two years ago - 14 Dec. 2023 - but the damage has continued. The building project is finished(?) but the verges are wrecked. The verge to the east side of the road has been eroded and pushed into the stream to the extent that what was a substantial bank has failed and now the water floods and flows down the edge of the road - itself causing more erosion and a real hazard if it freezes.
