Multiple deep potholes for a quarter of a mile; road is unsafe and impassible

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 21:00, Tuesday 24 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Ten years ago Gloucestershire County Council resurfaced this road from the county boundary to Southrop, and it is an excellent two way road. Oxfordshire spent their budget putting up signs saying ‘Single Track Road’ (which it never was) and putting wooden turrets on the verge to dissuade parking (which no one ever did). Result is that the road on the Oxfordshire side is totally and utterly lethal, with around 60 individual potholes, all at least 4 inches deep. When you get to Gloucestershire - the road becomes like a motorway. Dangerous and an embarrassing example of OCCs priorities.
