New parking sign posing obstruction
Reported via mobile in the Traffic Signs category by Scott Munro at 20:18, Tuesday 24 February 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Your contractors have installed a parking sign between my property and next door in an unsafe location, particularly at night / in rain noting black post. As a civil engineering manager, very surprised with respect to siting as easily could be relocated approx 5m towards broadway posing no risk to parking manoeuvres noting a busy road makes parking difficult at best of times with impatient drivers.

Thanks for response. Please find photos attached showing location of post is on sweep curve of access of to/from driveway. Contractor did not return yesterday to relocate post as promised by foreman to neighbour after installation when she was distressed as now feels trapped in her driveway. I also show photo of adjacent area where a post could be installed with no impact on anyone. Aware errors can be made as done myself in distant past when designing highway works and can Get caught out. Look forward to resolution. Thanks Scott
