Bridle Path Road Surface Water Drains & Gullys

Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Michael Bennett at 23:45, Saturday 21 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Of the 23 drains, at least 13 are showing visible signs of being completely blocked. According to records they were last cleaned out in January 2019. Block drains cause standing water, which leads to the break up of the road surface causing potholes. This is a typical problem with the Woodcote area, Please kindly give this some attention and unblock our drains.

  • Hello I also reported this drain issue last year and you closed the report saying this work was planned Jan-Mar 2026. There is only one week left so perhaps it will be done this week. Once cleared there needs to be routine cleaning to maintain them in working order.
