Series of deep potholes on Barrow Road in Shippon, just by the junction with Faringdon Road
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 20:21, Sunday 15 February 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
On Friday 6th Feb at approx. 5:20 pm these potholes were all hidden by the ground water. I pulled into Barrow Road from Faringdon road and was unable to avoid the puddles because of the opposing traffic waiting in Barrow Road to exit onto Faringdon road so I I had to drive through the puddles. The concealed potholes damaged both tires on the left-hand side of my car, so that I had to have them replaced the following day. I took the attached photos the following week when the water had receded.

These potholes are still there. They are dangerous as the school traffic and others along Barrow road are swerving to avoid these huge potholes and often swerve into oncoming traffic. do something about it now
