Urgent - Deep pothole drivers to swerve across centre of road, on a bend
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:19, Saturday 14 February 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Deep pothole, much deeper than 40mm. Causes cars going towards Abingdon (Westbound) to swerve. Needs to 'good quality repair' as heavy construction vehicles from Thrupp Lane may have caused it. Tree trimming road work on other (east bound) side of road, and ' traffic lights' means extra usage at the moment as drivers going both ways have to navigate the pothole. On Thursday no tree trimming work was going on maybe due to bad weather. Please could 'pot hole fixing' be prioritised over 'tree trimming' that seems to be taking ages and affecting movement in 4 directions. It is a long wait at the lights, long stretch of road and 4 way junction and no body is doing any trimming some days. Thanks
