Deep pothole in Cane End between HorsePond Road and K9 Woodland Services
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:51, Monday 9 February 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
This morning I hit a pothole in this area which resulted in a full tyre blow out and possible damage to suspension and steering system. The car was left in such a bad condition that it was not able to drive and had to wait for roadside assistance to recover my car and take to a nearby garage. This has left me without a vehicle and has caused me to lose a days pay off work which could lead to further financial loss until I have a replacement car.

It costed me £750 to repair the damage to my car and I lost three days off work unpaid while I waited for a courtesy car to become available for me. My daily pay rate is £235. So the repairs plus the lost salary equates to a financial loss of £1,455 due to the potholes on that stretch of road.
