Very noisy loose drain

Reported via desktop in the Manhole category anonymously at 11:49, Thursday 5 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is a very noisy loose drain on the road on Speedwell Street. Every time a bus runs over it, it makes a loud banging noise. It is disturbing residents living nearby day and night. The issue has been going on for a long time (possibly over a year) and still there has not been a satisfactory solution. This needs to be resolved urgently.

Council ref: ENQ261080835

  • Has it been reported to Thames Water rather than Oxfordshire County Council as it's their manhole? https://www.thameswater.co.uk/ help/ report-a-problem#/ where-is-the-problem
