Deep pothole including drain cover.
Reported via desktop in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 21:46, Wednesday 4 February 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Pothole has caused damage to my vehicle and a puncture to my front drivers side tyre. This is extremely dangerous to other road users, and could cause a serious or fatal road collision if not repaired sooner rather than later. The pothole has clearly been there for sometime, as there is marking around it, and has clearly been acknowledged as a default by the Council, however it remains unrepaired still at this time, a couple of days post my incident.

Big pothole that I’ve gone into this morning leading to the roundabout before Aldi with a loud thud to the car. Hard to avoid with a cyclist & traffic coming from the roundabout other direction. Dangerous

This is still there and I had to go around a car yesterday that was broken down (who knows, it may well have been because they hit the pothole!) So dangerous. What’s odd, is that you fixed the other drain nearby which also had this problem but left this one!

Still there. Andrew Gant was interviewed recently by the BBC and in this interview it said “ He added that potholes judged to be "dangerous" were being repaired within 24 hours of being reported, with others "then graded by seriousness". Well this drain has been marked to be fixed for a month now and the paint markings have nearly disappeared but it is dangerous so please can it be fixed. Perhaps the term dangerous actually means sink hole!

This was logged on 4 February and at that time it was highlighted how dangerous it was and that it had already damaged a vehicle, yet here we are nearly 6 weeks later and it’s still there! It was highlighted to be fixed weeks ago and those markings have nearly gone it’s been so long. When is this going to be fixed????
