More potholes!

Reported via iOS in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 18:56, Monday 2 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

So you came along and fixed about 3 but left one that had just started on the edge. Now, you need to come back again and sort this one. Honestly I can not understand why a) the road is just not repaired properly (we must have paid for that already in the amount of patches we have had done in the last year alone but it’s been going on longer than that!) b) now another cost to get workers out again and patch the one they ignored! Please, stop wasting taxpayers money.

  • This is now a large hole as it’s been left so long, this would have been totally unavoidable if common sense would have been applied when fixing the ones next to it! The total incompetence of not only the council but the contractors too is shocking. No use in giving excuses about budget, weather etc when the route of the problem stems from the lack of attention and workmanship. So much money is wasted on shoddy work on our roads and frankly I do not understand how you get away with it! No use thinking just about cycle lanes and pedestrians (which I agree is needed) BUT drivers also have a right to be safe on the roads too, especially as we pay a tax which is meant to maintain them!
