Road floods when it rains

Reported via desktop in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 21:28, Saturday 31 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Westbound carriageway floods when it rains as shown in the pictures. Attached picture 1 shows that the location is just after the traffic light sign and is marked with a red arrow. This is after rain has cleared up. Photo 2 shows the problem during moderate rain. When rain is heavy it will deepen further and also flow up over the pavement. Pedestrians (including me) get soaked as vehicles cannot avoid the water. The kerb is a continuous drain all the way up past the traffic lights ahead. It appears to be at least partially blocked as the road is on a slight incline and water flows down the road (rather than into the drain) and collects in the area marked on the pictures. There are also some broken kerbs filled with mud between the marked area and the traffic lights.
