Wooden bridge surface splintering

Reported via mobile in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 14:03, Wednesday 28 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The lip onto the wooden bridge on this cycle route has been disintegrating over the past few months. It is now sharp over most of the width of the bridge and presents a danger to cycle wheels, as well as an issue because cyclists in both directions now have to use the same narrow edge of the walkway to avoid damage, which is a problem as it is on a slope and also often has pedestrians. There is a high risk of collision here as well as injury from damage to a bike tyre while riding.
