Collapsed Culverts - See existing report FixMyStreet ref: 6885675

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 18:09, Tuesday 27 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

My other report got closed (again!) but the repairs that were promised have still not yet happened so I am raising a new one.

Thames Water have fixed drain covers on the culverts on the Wytham Road, but the big sumps/dips in the road are still there. I don’t feel my report should have been closed before they were fixed so I’m raising a new one… by the way, this is the 3rd report I’ve raised since this problem occurred over 2 years ago because they keep getting closed before the repairs have been carried out :-(

  • This is my 3rd attempt at reporting this issue… it has been already clearly documented and recorded and the last report was closed saying words to the effect of Thames water had done work on the culverts and the dips in the road would be fixed in due course. The report should not have been closed before it was fixed. I have tried and failed to provide photos as you can’t take a photo from an angle that shows the sumps. You need to go and drive on the road to understand the issue.
