The stretch of single lane A40 is causing flooding of our proeprty and garage due to poor maintenance and infrastructure for the rainwater to disperse.

Reported via desktop in the Property Flooding category anonymously at 10:25, Monday 26 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 7 minutes later

The A40 is situated at the end of our property separated by a gully that is overgrown, heavily back filled with organic matter and earth over the years. I assume it's used to transfer the volume of surface water from the A40 but it's not maintained and as there is no drainage infrastructure within the road, it all flows into our land and has flooded our garage on 4 occasions since 2022. Maintenance needs to be carried out on the whole stretch of the hedgerow and clear the gully to ensure the water catchment is suitable.
