Traffic lights very badly phased

Please can these new 3 way traffic lights be put on a sensor or be manned? They should prioritise the main carriageway but at the moment appear to be equal for all 3 routes. There is no need to let the side road be on green for the same period as the main carriageway as traffic levels are very different. This has the potential to cause mayhem at rush hour.
