Cars constantly parking on the Keep Clear road markings at the entrance to Moonraker Lane, Bampton.

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Signs category anonymously at 11:09, Monday 19 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

The Keep Clear marking at the entrance to Moonraker lane, in Bampton, isn’t effective at stopping cars from parking there. Cars will often park over the markings as they pop into the nearby Coop. This leaves residents (of which I’m one of), unable to access their homes along the lane, or exit the lane into the village. I’m personally affected by this on a weekly basis. Are you able to put a traffic sign up, next to the entrance to Moonraker Lane, to warn people not to park there, as it blocks access to the lane.

  • Thank you for your report.
We have recently refreshed the access protection markings to help the situation and as there are no existing parking restriction we cannot offer any signage or enforcement. Moonraker Lane is a private land therefore you are at liberty to erect signs with the permission of landowner.
