We have been reporting this blocked drain for years yet nothing happens. It has got so bad that it doesn't drain at all now. These photos were taken 18 hours after the last rain and the only reason that the water isn't half way across the road is because the cars are distributing it along the road, around the junction and also onto the footpath. In the recent heavy rain the puddle/lake was up onto the pavement covering almost half of it. Last week when it was frosty the water distributed by the cars froze instantly on the road junction and pavement making it lethal. The road had to be redressed last year because the constant water coverage was damaging it yet nothing was done about the drain. With the frosts it will happen again.

We are pleased to inform you that this area is scheduled for gully emptying in this financial year, October - November 2025. Rest assured, all Highway Surface Water Assets in the area will be thoroughly cleansed within the specified time frame.
