Large area of multiple linked potholes

This is a wide area, approx 8m across of multiple potholes in several lanes of a busy carriageway. Has become noticeably worse over last month or so, probably after rain/ice periods.

  • A really large cluster of dangerous potholes, both lanes.

  • The entire road surface in this area has deteriorated severely. There are many potholes (“33 potholes” as noted in the report summary). Some potholes are around 4/5 inches deep (this is very deep by road‑maintenance standards). This is not a single minor pothole but a major surface failure across a long stretch of the road.
