State of Hook Norton roads

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 19:59, Friday 16 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

All of the roads leading into the village and within the village need rebuilding as they are no longer fit for purpose. The council is no longer providing its duty of care when it comes to the roads with Hook Norton and the surrounding area and if action is not taken rapidly the condition of the roads will lead to fatalities. As this is now a Health and Safety matter you can not ignore that you have been told as the Health and Safety executive will not look kindly on it if you were to.

We pay some of the highest Council Tax in the country and we are not getting the level of care that we expect for it.
