Fallen tree above cycle path

The Abingdon to Thrupp Lake cycle path has a partly-fallen tree about 50 m from the end of Barton Lane. From the picture you can see that it's just being held up by a BT phone wire that it brought down when it fell. But if that breaks then it will fall onto the track. I've reported the problem to BT but they said they won't act until the tree branch is cleared. There's currently some hi vis tape on the branch, warning walkers & cyclists to avoid it.
