Broken gully drain cover on pavement

Reported via mobile in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category anonymously at 12:16, Wednesday 14 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There has been a temporary metal pavement plate/cover over a missing gully drain top by the chicane on Westminster Way for months now. Because buses and other vehicles mount the curb there when trying to pass, it keeps getting dislodged making it dangerous for pedestrians and vehicles as it can then hang over onto the road. I had previously reported this but for some reason the report was closed and I was asked to do again?! It’s easy to find as it is by the subway entrance/exit on Westminster Way (Montague Road one) and it has a large ‘council’ metal yellow cover over it.
