Deep pothole on bend in road
Reported via desktop in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 17:48, Tuesday 13 January 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The pothole is so deep it has gone down beyond any carriageway sub-surface. It is on a bend and cars are swerving into oncoming traffic risking serious accidents. It has been there for weeks. It is a danger to cars and a serious danger to anyone on two wheels, especially in rain when the depth is not visible. It is really not acceptable for such a crater to be left so long.

We live at Claydon Hill Farm, this is a very dangerous pothole, seeing most people driving on wrong side of road around blind bend to avoid. THIS IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. Needs fixing URGENTLY

Very dangerous now. Two cars in front of me this morning, both had to stop as the cone was placed in the middle of the pot hole. With a car coming the other way car in front had to let one car through went to pull around the pothole only to have another car coming the other way: Quite frightening travelling along that road at night now. There are other potholes to dodge on the left hand side now too.
