Pothole the size of Mozambique

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:28, Tuesday 13 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This road has always had potholes. Some small, some large. But this latest Pothole could fit the entire population of West Oxfordshire County Councillors inside it, with room for them to swing several rolled up sheets of meeting minutes at each other while still doing nothing about the Pothole.

It’s beginning to take over the entirety of the road, and I am concerned for nearby farmland and property which will no doubt be next to succumb to the gravitational pull of the Bridewell Lane Pothole.

  • You can’t really call it a pothole as it’s the length of a tennis court, full of water and very dangerous. Several cars a day get punctures here. The road is completely unfit for purpose. If you had bought it from a shop you would take it back and demand a refund.
