Drain is collapsing

Reported via mobile in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category by Joanna Hanlon-Passey at 16:19, Saturday 3 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The tarmac around the drain is dipping a lot, it’s a massive jolt in a car and dangerous for a cyclist, often covered by water making it more dangerous, the road is not wide enough to dodge it if someone is coming the other way

Council ref: ENQ261070903

Asset ID: 291089376

  • The drain is after the pothole on the same side

  • I have reported this many, many times and each time it disappears because Highways obviously don’t think it’s worth sorting. I think this has occurred also in part to many road resurfacing occurrences. Hopefully it will get fixed now.
