Investigating
Constant flow of water down the lane
Reported via desktop in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 22:43, Wed 31 December 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
It hasn’t rained for many days, all the other roads in the area are dry, but there is a constant flow of water down this stretch of the lane. Thames Water dismissed it weeks ago as overflowing storm drains, but there hasn’t been any rain for ages and there is a constant flow of water. It emerges from near Side Farm. The source needs to be located and the flow stopped or diverted away from the lane.

Thames Water have today stated that there is no chlorine in the water. The flow of water is, however, constant, even after days of dry weather. With regular farm traffic, it causes this stretch of the road to be very muddy. Also, when it freezes, it leads to very thick and dangerous ice. This has been reported before and always dismissed. Please find the source of this water and stop it or divert away from the road. Thank you.
