Blocked refuge on pavement near post box

Reported via desktop in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Toby Thurston at 20:53, Tue 23 December 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The pavement here is very narrow, and the road is very busy, so the "refuge" area is an important safety feature for pedestrians, especially those with prams or buggies.

It has been blocked for many months. The parish council volunteers cleared the vegetation above in August 2025, but the pile of earth and other debris at the bottom still needs to be removed.

It was reported here in August 2025, but today you have closed it without taking any action.

This is unacceptable as the area needs to be cleared urgently in order to make this section of pavement safer for pedestrians.

Please clear this pavement urgently and please do not close this report again until it is cleared.
