Huge potholes which are extremely dangerous to walkers, bikers and drivers.

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Paul Allen at 13:40, Sun 14 December 2025

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

These potholes (several) were fixed just a few months ago but have opened up quickly and now worse than ever. An accident waiting to happen. They have been bad again for a couple of months.

  • These multiple potholes are now craters with significant likelihood of damage to cars, cyclists and anyone walking. In parts the road is breaking up with huge cliff like edges. This is beyond a pothole repair and cannot be fixed by throwing some tarmac down (this was done last year, wasn’t appropriate then and now totally failed). It needs a different kind of crew for full remediation.

  • These potholes have become absolutely ridiculous. The whole road has started to disintegrate. Building contractors park along the other side of the road during the week meaning the only option is to drive through the potholes and cause likely damage to your car!

  • Adding up to date pictures of 3 separate craters which extend across the road. OCC needs to consider this as a major repair. Throwing tarmac down will not be an appropriate repair. The road substructure has collapsed.
