Ongoing damage to the grass verge
Reported via desktop in the Grass category anonymously at 09:07, Thu 11 December 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I am writing to report ongoing damage to the grass verge, an issue that has persisted for the past one to two years. As residents, we have been maintaining this area ourselves by cutting the grass and collecting rubbish, as this is not being carried out by the Council.
Unfortunately, delivery vans and lorries continue to drive over the corner of the verge, causing repeated damage. Over the past year, we have added topsoil and grass seed to improve its condition, but the problem persists.
Could the Council please consider installing two or three bollards on the grass verge to prevent further damage? Your assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

As we have not received any response or updates from the Council, we have once again tidied the grass verge and added grass seeds in an effort to maintain the area.
Could you please provide an update regarding the installation of bollards? If the Council does not have the budget to carry out this work, would it be possible for residents to install their own bollards with the Council’s approval? As an example, please photo of the van, which was parked on the grass 15/12/2025.
